This hot weather hasn’t hurt the Metolius a bit. It might even be helping. Golden Stones are coming out better in the upper river from the Tract C Bridge area down thru Camp Sherman. Green Drakes are still active, and might be good for about another week. PMD hatches have been coming on anytime from 11 AM to 8 PM and it will depend on the day and the area of river you are on when exactly, but overall there is at least one good session per day. Towards evening baetis and caddis are the ticket and right before dark rusty spinners.
Fishing is good. Maybe the best June I can ever remember.
