Dan Anthon - Head Guide
Dan has been with The Fly Fisher's Place for just over a year. Hailing from California, we was granted parole from the southland purgatory to lead The Fly Fisher's Place crew. Dan enjoys stalking wild trout, and is due to get married in January.
Todd Williver -
Todd is nearly a native of the Central Oregon region. Although not born here, he's lived in Central Oregon for 38 year. He cut his teeth stalking the local waterways in pusuit of local trout, but today freely admits that today it's the variety the keeps him coming back. Trips with Todd are sure to yeild a mix of local lore and fishing stories, neither of which are necessarily true. Todd is pleased that many of his clients have become fast friends over the years. "I enjoy my friends coming back year after year. Diner and wine the night before we fish is quite often as fun as the fishing day itself."
Steve Erickson
Steve started fly fishing around the age of seven although that was so long ago they didn't really understand the concept of time. Steve's father took him to fish the small streams in north western Pennsylvania where he first saw aquatic insects and the trout that feed on them. After high school he studied aquatic ecology and entomology at The Evergreen State College where he developed a bad case of racoon eyes from keying aquatic critters under a dissecting scope. This is also where his interest in anadromous fish was fomented. After an MBA and a stint in the corporate world he decided that pursuing a passion might suit my soul better than pursuing a dollar at the expense of his soul. Fate and a little social manipulation resulted in his present position with The Fly Fishers Place where he and his colleagues will endeavor to provide a interesting, enjoyable and fruitful trip down one of the many rivers that we are able guide.

Tim Quinton
Tim started fishing at the ripe old age of 9, and at 14 discovered the magic of the fly rod. For the last 40 years he has been honing his fly fishing skills and enjoys hanging out in places where trout live. After a 30 year career in the Coast Guard that took him to Alaska, the Pacific NW, as well as the East and Gulf coasts, Tim and his wife Susan settled in Central Oregon for all that the area has to offer. Guiding came naturally to Tim, having taught fly fishing to many of his friends and family over the years. Tim is currently in his fifth year as a guide, and promises to make your trip an enjoyable learning experience, whether you are a seasoned expert of a first time fly fisherman.

Joe Randolph
Joe is our number 2 Multi-day float guide and is an expert oarsman in whitewater. Joe and Steelhead seem connected in ways the rest of us may never understand. Besides Fly Fishing you might find Joe coaching his kids in little league or bird hunting in the fall.
Crow Black
Bob Alexander
Bob Alexander grew up on a lake in New Jersey fly fishing since he was 8. The first time he felt the bend of a fly rod he knew he was hooked for life. Bob has been guiding whitewater and fly fishing river trips in the Western United States since 1977. Bob's home river is the Lower Deschutes where he specializes in multi day trout and steelhead trips.

Clell Gibson
Clell Gibson has been an Oregon Fly Fishing guide for over 35 years, and has guided for the Fly Fisher’s Place since 1988. He’s our “old salt geezer guide.” Clell plays guitar and sings irreverent river songs. Sometimes you can see him streamside talking to the animals, or is that to his self? Clell is not always available, but a trip with him will surely be a memorable one.

Dove Gibson
Dove Gibson grew up on the famous North Umpqua River in Oregon. On a recent trip to the Patagonia region of Chile the local guides began calling her, La Machina De Pesca (The Fishing Machine). On the Deschutes River she is more often called the “Queen of Nymphs.” Dove is an accomplished and patient teacher of beginning fly fishermen, and a great cook to boot.
