The Fly Fisher's Place is your number one choice in the state for information and flies. We love having the Metolius and the Deschutes as our "home water" and we are fortunate to be able to fish them so often. We maintain current fishing reports for you to check out, including hatch and fly suggestions.

In addition to being the leaders in Metolius information, we are also your best choice to get set up for the Deschutes, the Crooked, the Fall River, the McKenzie and many of the lakes in our region. We offer single day trips and multi day excursions and Jeff is always putting together trips to Chile, the Yucatan and to New Zealand for the most adventurous fly fisher's!

Spring is peeking out from behind the snowy veil of Three Sisters Country... Fishing is good.

We are not quite out of the woods yet, but I expect alot more sunny and warmer days ahead than behind.

Alot of our native fish are spawing now... We know it's tempting to fish over redds, but PLEASE be aware of spawning fish and redds--avoid them !! We are lucky to have soooo many fisheries with native, wild fish on the east side of the Cascades... let's keep it up. Hatchery fish are nothing like the originals !!

Although our rivers are open year-round, partial SEASONAL CLOSURES ARE STILL IN EFFECT on many of our local waters! Make sure you consult the ODFW Regulations or check out our fishing report to see where you can legally fish -- don't worry, there are still miles and miles of river to fish !!

We have 7 major rivers and about 20+ lakes within an hour drive of our shop. Come check us out!!

The Deschutes river is one of the premier fly fishing rivers in the Pacific Northwest. Our guided drift boat range from one-to-four day excursions. One-day trips start at Warm Springs and end at Trout Creek, drifting 10 river miles. Multi-day trips are arranged according to the number of days out and your choice of game fish. Fly fishing for wild Deschutes rainbow "Redside" trout is an experience every fly fisher should have. The fish range from 10 to 20 inches and are extremely strong. The Fly Fisher's Place can also arrange business trips for groups, and half-day to multi-day excursions. Floating along the rimrock hills of the canyon will delight anyone that enjoys the outdoors.
