Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to go fish in some amazing places around the world. Along the way, we’ve met guides and lodge owners that we’ve established friendships and partnerships with that have lasted many years. We invite you to join us on any of our hosted trips or to simply book a time that is right for you. Below is a list of our favorite places from Patagonia, New Zealand and Belize.

Located in Northern Patagonia near the resort towns of San Martin de los Andes and San Carlos de los Bariloche, the Chime Lodge (pronounced Chee-may) sits on the banks of the legendary Rio Chimehuin. From here you’ll spend a week enjoying a combination of float trips and walk and wade trips with lake fishing a possibilty during the week. You’ll enjoy rivers including the Chimehuin, the Collon Curra, the Mallejo and the Traful amongst many other possible places to go within an easy hours drive from the lodge. Martin Carranza is the managing owner of the lodge and is also the host and head guide. Dinners at the lodge with the wine and jokes flowing equally are almost as enjoyable as a great day on the water with the excellent guide staff Martin has on hand. Equipment is excellent, from reliable trucks and nice rafts to a lodge that is always clean and welcoming. We love Chime Lodge and Martin Carranza and recommend Chime Lodge to all of our guests. Jeff made his first trip to fish with Kevin in 2004 and came home so impressed he went back with friends and has sent many guests over the years to fish with Kevin. Fairlie is located in the central part of the South Island an hour and a half west of the Pacific Ocean on the way to Mount Cook. Kevin does not provide lodging service as he is only a guide service, but Kevin and I can both suggest great lodging in the area when you are planning to fish there. Plan ahead to fish with Kevin, he is a very popular guide who gets booked a year ahead. From mountain rivers to pastoral streams, Kevin always has a fresh river to fish, and who knows, maybe you’ll have your best big fish fishing day in you life as Jeff once did when fishing with Kevin! Tarpon Caye is located off the coast of Placencia Belize just a short plane and boat trip from Belize City. One of our favorite destinations in the Carribean, Tarpon Caye is an excellent spot for both Tarpon and for Permit. The lagoon on the back side of the island is the perfect spot to fish for Tarpon from 20 to 80 pounds. This Caye (Key) is in Permit Alley, and is one of the most prolific places for Permit Jeff has ever seen. Lodging is spotless, simple Carribean style cabanas built right over the edge of the water. Each Cabana holds 2 anglers and has a private bath. Meals are excellent and served to accomodate a fisherman’s schedule. Marlon Leslie and Charles Leslie are the owners, hosts and head guides. Jeff thinks that Marlon Leslie is the best saltwater guide he’s ever been with. Besides great eyes he is an amazing boat handler and his enthusiasm is second to none in the guiding world. Limited to 8 guests per week. For more details go to
