Lower Deschutes fishing report 9/14/19

the fishing this week on the WS to TC section was outstanding for trout, and we’ve heard reports of a couple of steelhead being caught up there too.
October Caddis pupa are starting to be on the menu, Girdle Bugs are good and Double Bead R/L Peacock Stones (aka the Cheeseburger).
PT, Hares, Ear, Prince, Rainbow Warrior, Caddis Pupa, Perdigons, Jigs, Zebra Midges and Jig Crayfish are all good.
Some dry action on micro caddis, #16 tan X Caddis and CDC Caddis, Purple Haze and small stimulators.
Swinging traditional Steelhead flies like Green Butt Skunks and Freight Trains on a floater and going down with a sink tip with intruder style stuff is the ticket for the foreseeable future until cold water hits in the November.
