My optimism 2 days ago was crushed by another ice storm yesterday and a very cold day today did not allow any of that to melt.
Gavin and Mattias went to the Metolius today and caught some fish, but roads are still bad. some whitefish on nymphs and some bulls on streamers though so it may have been worth the effort.
Customer John S went to the Fall River. Terrible roads too. No parking for angling access except at the hatchery.
And better news, a very nice customer called and said he went to the Crooked and found mostly open water to fish and got fish nymphing.
Next week if we can get past the next 4 days looks like a lot better fishing weather.
Cross your fingers with me!
