Cascade Lakes

East lake is pretty good in the shallow areas. Water is still quite cold so the fish are taking advantage of any sun that warms the banks. Chironomid and callibaetis nymphs are working well. Any leech patterns like buggers and rufus will be good too.

Hosmer is still great. Chironomids and callibaetis there too. Some callibaetis hatches have already begun. Amazing. Damsel Nymphs and leech patterns are nice choices now too.

Crane Prairie is good on Chironomids and Rufus. Deschutes Channel out around the corner from the resort and over in the Quinn channel are the 2 best places.

Wickiup is good for trout, kokanee and bass. The latter bums me out but they are there. Fishing has been good all over the lake near Gull Point over towards the dam, up near Sheeps Bridge and in the Davis Arm area.

Lava Lake has been good mostly on leech patterns, but callibaetis and chironomids are equally important.
Lots of fish being caught out from the resort.
