There are quite a few lakes open (new 2016 reg’s) and accessible.
South Twin- heard of good fishing there last week. Hasn’t been stocked yet but holdover rainbows on wooly buggers was fairly good.
Davis Lake- had some friends there who caught some really nice bass in the weeds on poppers. Usually the lava dam is really good early season for trout and for bass.
Suttle Lake- lot’s of kokanee in the Link Creek channel. Browns and Rainbows around there too and along the bank lines in the boulders and logs. Probably the best time of the year is right now, although October can be pretty sweet for big browns!
Clear Lake- With the great weather a few folks are heading to Clear Lake now. It’s a good rainbow fishery that is off the radar for most anglers. Early season, put it on the radar. Always good to use a bright bugger or rufus….orange is a hot color.
NOT EVEN CLOSE for 3 Creeks yet. I’d say another 6 to 8 weeks before you’ll be able to drive there. Hike in, maybe a little sooner.
