East Lake is open! Hooray. Heard the weather for the weekend was awful but the fish were on the bite, especially on chironomids.
Crane is good. Leeches and Damsel Nymphs are the best, but chironomids and callibaetis nymphs are taking fish as well. Some hatch of callibaetis bringing a few fish up but it’s mostly subsurface still.
South Twin is excellent. Easy fishing with a lot of stocked trout. Sheep Creek Special and Rufus patterns are the best.
Hosmer is good. Callibaetis are coming off at the surface, so all stages from nymph to spinner are important. Leeches and chironomids are important.
