Crooked River fishing 5/9/19

Mary Ann has been spending a bunch of time on the Crooked and finding the fishing to be really pretty good.

Here is the latest report from her trip 2 days ago. She is guiding there again today and has been spending personal days there as much as possible getting the rhythm of the river as slightly high water persists this early season.
She reports:
finding fish on Euro and swinging flies. Not the biggest, nor the smallest fish. Flies that worked were psycho prince, micro mayfly, ray charles and a green perdigon. Caught some nice fish dead drifting a black wooly bugger!
In my humble opinion good news of whitefish and rainbows looking healthy after the high water of spring and a good mix of sizes of fish.
Given the flows…happy with the catch rate (and oh yeah, the miss rate).

Flows are 470 today.
