About a month and a half ago I had the opportunity to sit down with the great Phil Rowley and do an episode of his Littoral Zone Podcast where we talked about our home waters here in Central Oregon and took the conversation to mostly emergers, dries and terrestrials.

In August of 2024 Phil Rowley will be here at FFP offering 2 clinics and a Fish-A-Long!

On 8/4/24 Phil will be teaching 2 Fly Tying Clinics at FFP for $60 a session or $100 for those of you who sign up for both sessions. Session one will be 9 to Noon and will be hatch matching flies, session 2 will be 2 PM to 5 and will cover attractor flies Phil relies on to cover the waters when the match the hatch tactics aren’t on the menu.

On 8/6/24 we will offer an all day clinic (location will probably be the Belfry in Sisters or maybe the Sisters Library) and Phil will set it up in 4 parts, Floating Line Techniques, Indicator Techniques, Sinking Line Techniques and what he calls “The Dark Arts”. This will run from 9 am to 4 pm with a break for lunch and is going to be $75 p/p. This is an opportunity to learn the craft from one of the world’s best stillwater anglers!

Finally, on 8/7/24 we are offering a Fish-A-Long meet and greet with Phil at Paulina Lake. Fish until noon and meet on the beach between the cliffs and the resort for a beverage and dessert that Jeff will provide. No charge for 8/7, just come and enjoy the fishing and meet Phil.
