We are getting some really good reports now from 3 Creeks. Callibaetis hatches are getting better and better. Easy to do yourself, boat (no motor), tube, pontoon, or even wading … Continue reading Mid Week 3 Creeks Lake update

Good morning on this 1st morning of July. Summer has been really nice over the last couple of weeks. Not overly hot, that's for sure, with cool nights and mornings the waters around the region are in much better shape than last year at this time when we had that heat dome event over the … Continue reading 4th of July Fishing Report and updates

June 24, 2022June 24, 2022flyfishersplace

With lot's of good fishing to report, we are now seeing high 70's, glorious 80's and even some low 90's for a few days over the weekend. Great fishing weather and a welcome pattern for us. It's hard to believe last week I had 2 postponed trips due to high winds and snow, and just … Continue reading 6/24/22 Fishing Report and it happens every year

Today doesn't feel like "almost summer", but by Tuesday and throughout the week it will not only be summer, but Summer warmth is coming too. I am so ready for that as I am sure you are too. If you live in the Pacific NW, you know a little warmer weather, and less gray will … Continue reading Jeff’s fishing report and updates and it’s almost summer!

June 11th Fishing Update

June 11, 2022June 11, 2022flyfishersplace 1 Comment

I was in the shop this morning working with Brad, as we met the Simms rep for our 2023 Spring Simms order. Outside, horses, llamas fire trucks and rodeo queens rode by for the first time in 2 years for the annual Sisters Rodeo Parade. It was good to see the crowds come out and … Continue reading June 11th Fishing Update

May 28, 2022flyfishersplace 1 Comment

If you’re up for a snowy walk and can carry a float tube, or drag a small boat with your fishing buddy, Hosmer is just getting opened up. There’s a lot of snow up to and down the road, the parking lot is covered, and the ramp is snowed in. Boat Ramp at Hosmer This … Continue reading Hosmer Lake update 5/29/22

Memorial Day 2022 Fishing Report and Updates

May 28, 2022May 28, 2022flyfishersplace

Good morning from beautiful Sisters, Oregon. We woke up at home, which was unplanned as we had intended to camp on the Metolius for a few nights. But camping in the rain is not a ton of fun, especially in a small trailer with dogs. So hopefully next weekend we will get to the river … Continue reading Memorial Day 2022 Fishing Report and Updates

Another East Lake update 5/25/22

May 25, 2022flyfishersplace

Drove up again after my Paulina trip (which was good again 3 days in a row now). Ramps at the resort (pay) plus Hot Springs we’re good. The ramp at East Lake CG was sketchy but should be fine very soon. People used it but there were some snowy spots and it was a little … Continue reading Another East Lake update 5/25/22

After my Paulina Lake trip I drove up to look at East Lake and it’s all Ice free. No boat ramps yet. But tubes, pontoons and kayaks ought to have a heyday. Have fun.
