Deschutes Fly Fishing Guide Trips

Deschutes Fly Fishing

DESCHUTES — WARM SPRINGS TO TROUT CREEK ONE DAY or CAMP TRIP

Our most popular guide trip at FFP. A drift boat trip of 10 miles on the Deschutes River makes this a perfect one day fly fishing trip but can also be stretched to an overnight trip. 1–3 people per boat.

Steelhead are in this stretch of the Deschutes in October, November & December. We use the Drift Boat to access the river but there is no fishing from the boat on the Lower Deschutes.

DESCHUTES — WARM SPRINGS TO TROUT CREEK CAMP TRIP

We also offer overnight float trips out of Warm Springs. This trip includes two days fishing and one night camping including meals.

EVENING HATCH FLOAT ON THE DESCHUTES

On this trip we meet in the late afternoon and float 2 ½ miles from Warm Springs to Mecca taking out at dark. We will bring a nice dinner to enjoy along the river too. We offer this trip from June 15th to October 15th.

DESCHUTES — TROUT CREEK TO HARPHAM FLAT CAMP TRIP

This three-day trip offers spectacular fishing through a mostly roadless area.  You’ll get three full days on the water with two nights camping. A bag boat/camp chef goes out ahead of the fishing boats to set camp and get the food ready for you at the end of a great day fishing. The best season is early May to Mid October for Trout and Late August into late November for Steelhead. We use the drift boat to access the river but there is no fishing from the boat on the Lower Deschutes.

DESCHUTES — MAUPIN AREA

Drifts out of Maupin include Nena to Harpham. For Steelhead this is a good fall and early winter trip.

DESCHUTES — PINE TREE TO BEAVERTAIL

This is a one day Steelhead float. We float this area in July through November to catch the steelhead run.

We use the Drift Boat to access the river but there is no fishing from the boat on the Lower Deschutes

DESCHUTES — PINE TREE TO MACK’S CANYON

DESCHUTES — MACK’S CANYON TO THE MOUTH THREE-DAY CAMP TRIP

For a more relaxed pace to get to the Steelhead, this trip fits for most of our customers. We set a nice camp up along the river and usually stay in the same camp for two nights.
