(Happy) Thanksgiving Week Fishing Report

November 21, 2021November 21, 2021flyfishersplace

Good sunday morning from a sunny and chilly Sisters, OR. It's been a few weeks since the last update. Between our Mexico trip, then catching up a little at the shop finishing orders for 2022, but mostly to catch up on pine needle raking, cleaning gutters and burning needles, it has been a full time … Continue reading (Happy) Thanksgiving Week Fishing Report

Good afternoon, I am home tying up loose ends, doing my last big orders for the 2022 upcoming season and getting ready to hop on a plane and go fishing in Mexico. I was out a few days this week locally, and the FFP guide team is still busy all over the waters here. It … Continue reading Fishing Report and Updates for 10/29/21

Good morning from the rainy Oregon coast. It appears some of this rain is headed over to the rest of the state for the next few days too. Hallelujah, we need that water, and I hope it just keeps coming and coming. I am pretty sure this storm is going to be about the end … Continue reading 10/23/2021 fishing report & update

Holy cow what a great couple of October days we are getting yesterday and today. I hope you are getting out and enjoying these … Continue reading Jeff’s fishing report 10/16/21

October 11, 2021October 11, 2021flyfishersplace 2 Comments

Hello on a cool, breezy October Monday. Monday? I know, it's late and I apologize. I had guide trips over the weekend and just didn't have time to blog until now. There is plenty to talk about, including an apology on my part for not choosing the best way to express myself on some frustrations … Continue reading Jeff’s fishing report/update 10/11/21

It's Folk Festival weekend in Sisters. I got home from my guide trip last night and we headed out on the town to listen to some great music. All the town is a stage and it feels vibrant and good here. We are lucky. We are also lucky to have so much good fishing here, … Continue reading Jeff’s fishing report and more (10/2/21)

How many more of these days will we get in 2021? It is perfect, but the winds of change are blowing in soon it looks like. We will take anything we get and we will fish in anything we get. The Metolius is still getting a good afternoon Green Drake hatch, mostly in a size … Continue reading Fishing Report 9/25/2021

Fishing Report 9/19/21

If you're from Oregon and felt the full blast of fall weather hit us this weekend, and with essentially a month and half left of general trout season, it feels like it is speeding to an end. In so many ways, that "end" never matters, because of all of the places that are open year … Continue reading Fishing Report 9/19/21
