the afternoon hatches are on and off, but the afternoon nymphing is great. Little black or very dark colored baetis nymphs, zebra midges and the PMD 2 Bit Hooker are all awesome.
Evening hatches of PMD’s, BWO’s and Caddis improve as the sun goes off the water in the late afternoon to dusk. That’s you best chance on top. Iris caddis is a hot fly now, so make sure you have some in the box.
