Summer is here and so is good summer fishing. Drakes are out and doing well. Depending on where you are on the river you could see them as early as 2 and as late as 5PM.
Lots of PMD’s and BWO’s and Caddis and Rusty Spinners right at dark.
Nymphing a good, of course with the golden stone nymphs and a dropper. Droppers to mention are 2 bit hooker, pmd micro mayfly, copper john, frenchie, cdc soft hackle PT, lightning bug.
There are some stones hatching. A few salmon flies are flying, but usually the main hatch is in early August for those. We are seeing a few Golden Stones but really this hatch usually doesn’t get going in earnest until early July. There are some yellow sally’s and other various stones hatching, but on top the PMD’s, Drakes, baetis and Caddis will serve you well now.
Bull Trout are eating well and it seems white streamers are the best, but I’ve had reports of all different colors taking fish lately.
