I’ve been hearing from a few customers the Crooked is improving, which probably means the water temperatures have risen a little bit.
I had one customer come back in for BWO’s and he said they were rising well to a hatch. That surprised me! But it might have been an isolated incident.
March will be a better time to focus on BWO’s, but for now Scuds and Midges are your best bets.
Look for rising fish about 3 to 4:30 PM down lower in the canyon. They will be eating emerging midge pupa and midge adults and bring your 7x tippet.
