One of the FFP crew (Carolina Phil) went to Little Lava yesterday morning, launched the boat and turned on his fish finder and found water temps at 69.

He went around the lake to several places and never found any spots of cooler water.

Sadly, there were also dead fish on the bottom near the ramp area. Likely because of catch and release due to water temps.

Please spread the word about this and let’s give places a break that are above the 68 degree threshold.

As for Hosmer, our customer Bret made it up to the upper lake and said that it was in good shape temperature wise, plenty of fish rising to various food sources throughout the day and that damsels were the best for him.

Lower Lake and most of the channel to the upper end will be too warm so watch that.
