The Crooked River is off a bit but is still one of the best bets in Oregon. Fish a 2 Bit Hooker, Micro Mayfly, Zebra Midge, Egg and Scud. We highly recommend learning to Czech Nymph, but if not fish a Rio 10′ 5x Indicator leader and add 6x fluorocarbon tippet to that. Put a NZ Wool Indicator up from the top fly at 4 to 6 feet and fish as straight up stream in the seams as possible with short casts.
There are some BWO, Mahogany Duns, PMDs and Caddis, but really nymphs are where it’s at for productivity.
