Cooler and occasionally wet weather has settled onCentral Oregon for a few days. It rained late afternoon yesterday and again today and looks like this showery pattern will be with us until Sunday.
This is a good thing. PMD hatches are strong, and we have seen good Baetis hatches too.
Golden Stones get a little lethargic but the Yellow Sallies seem to like this weather.
Nymph Fishing is quite good. I’ve been using PT’s and Zebra midges, but it depends on the time of day. Golden Stones and Jigs, Lightning Bugs, Split Case PMD, CDC Hares Ear and Copper John’s are all good too.
I’m getting pretty good reports of Bull Trout on white streamers.
