Crooked River fishing report 3/22/19

Our guides Mary Ann and Troy were on the Crooked this week and both had good days of fishing but were there on different days and saw totally different things based on the day.
The spring BWO hatch is on, but if the weather is cold and the water temp drops it seems the hatch won’t happen. Water temps are in the 40’s and the warmer days it gets going really well on the dries. Otherwise, Skinny Nelson, Purple Perdigon, WD 40, Micro Mayfly and Ray Charles have been our nymphs of choice.
Midge hatches remain strong in the afternoon and early evenings especially in the lower canyon.
