Lower Deschutes fishing report 5/1/19

Whew, what an opener! Best week of opening fishing I think we’ve ever seen. We are smacking them on nymphs but so far nothing really on dries.
Girdle Bugs, Stonefly Nymphs, Lightning Bugs, Caddis Pupa, Perdigons, PT’s, 2 Bit Hookers and Jigs are freaking awesome.

The water conditions are perfect, under 5000 (today 4740 and dropping) and at 50.9 coming out of the dam.

Salmonflies are LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY people.  Book a guide trip so you don’t miss the action.
