My head … Continue reading Jeff’s fishing update 8/15/20

Happy Saturday! I just got back to the shop from teaching our weekly fly casting lesson at Black Butte. It was a great turnout today, and one of the things that made my heart happy was how many young women and kids attended with the intentions of becoming fly anglers. We have been teaching the … Continue reading Weekly fishing update 8/8/20

I'll start this weeks fishing report with a plea to help protect trout as we are in a bit of a prolonged heat wave. Today is a good day to discuss water temperatures and what is safe for our trout. Overall, we are so lucky to have so much cold water in our rivers and … Continue reading Fishing Report 7/28/2020

It was a good week around Sisters and Central Oregon. I practiced what I preached in previous reports and tried 2 new places this week, which has inspired me to plan to try 3 more new things in the coming weeks. I hadn't fished Paulina Lake since I was a little kid. In fact, I … Continue reading Fishing Report 7/18/2020

Happy saturday everyone. I hope you are all staying safe and finding some time on the water. I had 2 days on the lake guiding, and 2 days on the Metolius fishing by myself this week. Interesting, and full of discovery and a dose of hard reality mixed in for me and my clients. Fishing … Continue reading July 11th Fishing Report

This week I was lucky to spend 2 days on my own fishing the Metolius with Tina one day with friends, and guiding on the lakes the last 4 days. Lot's of time on the water and some good reports to share from me and the FFP guide staff.
