Hatch is much better and seems to be finally getting legs. Plenty of PMD's and caddis too.

Metolius River fishing report 6/10/16
Green Drakes are on and off. Some days we see good hatches and other days just a few scattered bugs. I suspect this coming week is going to be better with the good weather coming in. PMD's have been about the same, most days pretty good. Nymphs like the copper john, frenchie and micro mayfly … Continue reading Metolius River fishing report 6/10/16
Metolius River fishing report 6/1/16
Green Drakes are trying to get a good start...some days are good and other days are slow with the hatch. Same with the PMD's. The good news is the fish are looking up and wanting to eat. There are a few BWO's and Caddis hatching too. In the evening, at dusk Rusty Spinners are coming … Continue reading Metolius River fishing report 6/1/16
Metolius River report 5/23/16
The Drakes are getting better and better with more showing up every day. Hatch can be as late as 5 PM so best to get there at about 2 and wait. Some days it will last 10 minutes and other days (lucky days) it will go for an hour. PMD's have been on and off. … Continue reading Metolius River report 5/23/16
Metolius River fishing report 5/12/16
Just starting to get fish looking for Green Drakes. Not much of a hatch but we've been getting fish up on dry drakes for the past few days. Usually, typical GD timing starts around Memorial Day and goes until the end of June for the 1st summer hatch. PMD hatches are mostly good. I've seen … Continue reading Metolius River fishing report 5/12/16
Metolius River fishing report 5/1/16
April was way better than average with lot's of fish early in the month on nymphs and the last week we saw a much better hatch scenario and fish looking up. Some years April is dismal, especially for hatches and rising fish. I am excited about May fishing with the trend being so positive. So, … Continue reading Metolius River fishing report 5/1/16

Fishing is good with nymphs with just a few caught recently on dries. The Golden Stone and Silver Lightning Bug combo has been most effective, although Copper John, 2 Bit Hooker, Carotene, and Hares Ear Nymphs have all had game this week. When the hatch comes, it is mostly BWO's with some Cinygmula mixed in. … Continue reading Metolius River
Metolius River fishing report 4/10/16
Overall, fishing has remained pretty good. April is always a weird month on the Metolius but I'd say this April has been better than most with catches of Rainbow, Bull Trout and Whitefish staying good on nymphs. You'd think the above average temps and abundant sun would get the hatches really going, but they've been … Continue reading Metolius River fishing report 4/10/16
Metolius River Fishing Report 3/31/16
Sorry for the delayed report. I was traveling and had no access to the internet. Fishing continues to be good, especially nymphing in the upper river. Dry Fly action is pretty good, some days way better than others with BWO and Cinygmula mayflies making up the bulk of the hatch. Some caddis and some little … Continue reading Metolius River Fishing Report 3/31/16

Amazing fishing right now and I expect it to be better as move in to March. Good afternoon hatches of BWO's and some cinygmula's. The cinygmula's will get better and better in later March. Usually over spring break time is the best hatch of these #14-16 yellow mayflies. Still a bunch of October Caddis and … Continue reading Metolius River fishing report 3/11/16
